Epic feats & PrCs
Another question for the gang:
Multiclass characters who become epic through PrCs are eligible for epic feats in their non-PrC class right, assuming they meet skill point requirements?
My specific question, easier understood I'm sure, is this:
When I am Bard 12 / Pale Master 11 and level up to Bard 13 / Pale Master 11, will I be able to take Lasting Inspiration if I have the requisite Perform points (24)? Wow, that was much easier.
Cheers.

Certain feats(like lasting inspiration) require you to be "epic" in that specific class before you can take. These are feats like lasting inspiration, bane of enemies, etc which are epic focii on a class's specific attributes.

Damn it all. Thankfully with a little creative scripting you can fix that for me, right, Nob?Nob wrote:Certain feats(like lasting inspiration) require you to be "epic" in that specific class before you can take. *sighs*
Thanks for clarifying.

So what your saying is, if I was determined to level out my sorceror monk evenly, I would have to wait the 5 years it would take to reach level 40, then bump one class 2 levels above the other. No I'm not happy with that. *adds bioware to kill list*
So thats why some players have a core class i.e monk, then take a couple of levels in barbarian for the rage and stuff, then a couple of levels in shadow dancer/assassin for the stealth, to accentuate there core class? I know you are suposed to take at least a few levels with a second or third class to avoid the cheese.
So can you have more than one prestige class to accentuate a core class, i'e Monk then shadow dancer and assassin?
EDIT: I just realised monk CAN have stealth anyway but for an example lets pretend they don't.

AFAIK, Monks will never be able to get Shadow Dancer, as it requires at least some Arcane spell casting. Bards can, though.GHENGIZ.KHAN wrote:So can you have more than one prestige class to accentuate a core class, i'e Monk then shadow dancer and assassin?
I completed all of the games with an Elf Bard/Shadow Dancer/Assassin.

AAs do, that might be what you're thinking of?

Let's clear one thing. if you take monk/sorcerer levels evenly, you will get epic feats when you reach level 21, you just don't get class specific epic feats, because you have only epic character, not epic sorcerer , epic character is always level 21+ no matter what classes you choose.
For example 11 wizard 10 fighter will not get any epic spells, because his wizard is not epic, only his character is, but wizard 21 will, but you would still get all general great intelligences, great strength armor skin etc. common epic feats that requires only level 21 character (epic character)
Addition to that, when you have epic class, and you keep taking levels in that class, you will get additional extra epic class specific feat every X level(depending on the class you have chosen)

Unfortunately, you can't take perform points unless you're taking bard levels. So, with 12 bard levels, you can only have 16 perform points.KaiRal Windspar wrote:Actually, you can. As you need 24 ranks in perform (i.e. without items etc.) you couldn't really get that before you were lvl 20+ bard anyway.

You can dump all of your points into the Bard skills when yuo level in bard, up to your Character Level max rank. So long as that is the ONLY skill y ou advance when gaining in Bard, it's actually really easy to do.
You can, to an extent.Nightshade wrote:Unfortunately, you can't take perform points unless you're taking bard levels. If you are a level 11 bard, you will have 15 points in perform. If you then put 10 levels into, say, Fighter, you cant level up perform at the time, but then when you take another level of Bard (12) you will then be able to increase perform to 26. So you can increase things based on your level, as long as it is a class skill when you want to increase it.

What? Whats the "cheese"? I'm a monk and I'm not to excited about multiclassing. Did I miss a rule or something?GHENGIZ.KHAN wrote:So thats why some players have a core class i.e monk, then take a couple of levels in barbarian for the rage and stuff, then a couple of levels in shadow dancer/assassin for the stealth, to accentuate there core class?
