the world of HAZE has effectively removed the challenge rating appearance when you EXAMINE another PC.
Im not sure how, but it is possible. maybe someone from the team might like to contact their developers for this info?

CR is a lie quite often, so trusting it will get you killed. The real problem is being able to see what spells/buffs a person or NPC has on them through examine, this is more telling than the broad challenge rating words given.
If they are using the same way to remove CR since before SoU its more of a hassle, and can actually be circumvented quite easily.

Fighters do it face to face, Rogues may do it from behind, Rangers can do it from a distance, Wizards do it from out of nowhere, Clerics may not do it at all, Barbarians may do it in a rage, Sorcerers can do it on a whim, Bards on a note, but Paladins have to pay for it!
