Character Journal Help

Okay I built myself a new rig and did a total re-install.... forgetting to save my character journal..... is there anyway that it can be recovered .... or is it just stored locally .... Really need to get it back as it had 2.5 years worth of notes and stuff ?

I believe its local

so there's not a lot that can be done, unless there's a way of disappearing into the depths of "recovery mode" and fishing it out somehow...

Your character journal would have been charactername.txt in your NWN localvault folder on your hard drive.

Thanks for your help guys , will try the recovery option to see if that file might still be lurking .......

*sacrifices a random bit of kit to the computer overlords*

Edit.... Guys I am one happy guy , have managed to recover the file using Smart Data Recovery , very simple and restored the file in full where as another prog only got half of it ....
