Role Player of the Month: May edition

Post by Jazz » Thu May 31, 2007 11:43 pm

As we leave the spring behind us and embark upon the summer, you know it's time for: The Role Player of the Month, May edition !

Let me, and with that the entire Avlis Forum-reading community, know which PC's you've admired last month by filling in the ballot here.
You can read up on all previous winners there as well. Niiiice.

Cheers,

- Jazz

  • Rules

    1. No PC (not player, but individual PC) may win a RPotM award more than twice in a calendar year. Believe me, I know just how great some PCs are, but this is an effort to spread the love around a bit.

The following PC's aren't eligible any more in 2007:
    - Amand Xilo

    2. I've been asked if players can vote for their own PCs. Technically, the answer is yes, but it's not terribly encouraged. Try voting for those other PCs who enrich your gameplay experience by making the world a little more real for you.

    3. Yes, DMs and Team Members can vote. There's no additional weight to their votes, but all Avlis members are encouraged to vote if you feel there are deserving PCs.

    4. Yes, you may vote for PCs played by Team Members.

    5. Please be specific, if you can. This one isn't exactly a rule, but if you want your vote to count... do your best to write the exact floaty name of the PC. I don't know every PC on Avlis, and there are lots of PCs with similar names or identical first names. Sure, I'll probably know enough to include votes for "Rhissaerk" with the votes for "Rhissaerk Jalesh", but give me a hand and write out the full floaty name if you can. Feel free to use the comments section to clarify if you're not sure.

    6. Feel free to use the comment section for explanation of your votes. No, it won't change the vote count or anything, but I do read and enjoy every comment. I'll also be posting certain select comments in the results thread.
I'm pointing at "rule" 6 here, optional, yes, but the more people who comment, the more fun other people will have reading the results post :2thumbs:

This month was a difficult one, I played so much that I got to see a lot of interesting characters :) I voted for the newest interesting ones, maybe it'll serve as encouragement for them to keep playing.

Thanks for all the votes so far, even the ones that voted for themselves again

One thing: "Please be specific, if you can." Some people seem to give me incorrect names or even GameSpy names instead of the actual PC names
So far I've been able to decifer and put the vote by the right PC, but it would be a shame if votes get lost this way.

Game..uh, vote on!

All I can tell you is that... you've got to play the cards life deals you. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But at least you're in the game. - Vic Fontaine, DS9.

Thumbs up for the rising number of people who supply comments with their votes. Yes, it's optional, but so much fun :good:
