Copy of NWN mod... and cd key

something has happened to my original copy of NWN... can anyone tell me if i make a copy of a friend's disc... still using my properly purchased cd key... will this work... or is there any chance that each cd and the cd key are linked in a way that it will not enable me to do so?

any copy will work with any CD key. In fact, if I recall, if you prove to bioware that you already have a legit CD key, you might be able to download it from them
