You haven't seen buggy until you've seen Gak hiding under a giant flying robe next to a floating kobold head. I "fixed" the appearance.2da to include the as-is dynamic models. It was so bad I switched back to static models.

Is that support for new radial abilities that already recently went in, or are there new radial abilities coming soon? If the latter, what are they? Or, is that too spoilerish still? ;)
If it wasnt spoilerish it would have been posted.

I've seen it mentioned twice that Hala solved the half-ogre problem. Any chance they'd share?

I've had the dynamic hak loaded for some time now. I haven't seen any issues yet, though surely I will at some point.

I'm just asking if we're expecting a standard of perfection that we don't expect elsewhere? I mean, we all see gelatinous cubes screaming in male human voices, stirges in the Wilderness that appear as ravens, naked NPC soldiers, the occasional wemic issue, etc.

I'm not criticizing the Team here. These are trivial issues clearly at the bottom of the priority list. I think if you put it to a vote -- not that this is a democracy, and it shouldn't be -- most players would accept an occasional glitch in exchange for getting rid of those awful static humanoid forms.

Plus, many graphics problems would be solved ala the female problem above with an executive decision, alleviating laborious programming.

We won't be disabling creation of females. There have been several that I know of, and there are also female versions of NPCs of those races. No doubt there would be more female PCs made if they did have a different model.

Yes, once the servers are updated with avlis_main1_6, you can remove all previous avlis_main versions.

You'll know what they are when they are ready. ;)

They are hung-up, because no one is working on them. As far as I know, there are no active modellers in our community. At least not for NWN1. I might do a race or two in between other Avlis projects, but I have a long to-do list. So, as usual, it will be done if/when it is done.

And, so we get back on topic, here's a sneak preview of some new creatures you might see.

The little guy in front looks like Franklin. I always hated his antics, so I'd be happy to kick its butt.

Yes and female models in the NWN tradition usually means, make it smaller, give it breasts and long hair, DUH, a biologists nightmare.

They even gave female reptilians breasts so obviously someone there failed bio 101 in highschool.
Just solve the problem by using male models for males and females. Some reptiles have females that are larger and more "masculine" than their males, anyway. Might make sense for both to use male voices too.
Mostly reptiles use Pheromones anyway to tell sexes apart. dont need to program scent in

I came from Hala and hadn't seen Gak in many moons. And I loved his new form there. Looked much more realistic to me.

Btw, is anyone aware of a freeware 3D modelling program on the web that's good for creating/adjusting NWN creature models?

If I knew how to create new models/skins, first thing I'd make for Sigil is the Lady of Pain. Oh how I'd love to Dm in that skin... muahahahahaha!

Um... on that topic. Mine are fixed as well in the ACE guildhall, but have you tried sitting in yours? I did tonight, and while the chairs are facing properly towards the table, my character sits on them backwards, facing away from the table, with his legs through the back of the chair. Are yours doing the same?

Deider, MadK@ -- I updated bug 2491 to reflect this, but didn't have Cool Guy Rights to set it back to Reopened. Here's a quick linky:
