Unlimited Level Script

Post by Cygnus Freestrider » Thu Jan 11, 2007 7:14 pm

Hey,
(Even though I can't play, It's still okay to use the forums, right?)
I was wondering, where could I find the unlimited level scipt that I could put into a module or how could i scipt one?
Thanks for any help,
Cygnus.

Don't even need to script something like this, you can just enter debug mode and use the DM commands.

In game, hit the tilde key.
Then type in "DebugMode_1".
Next, hit tilde again, and type "dm_GiveXP 200000"
That'll put you right to level 20. You can give whatever amount you'd like.

That can't be done. Only NPC's can reach levels past 40.

Aventia has an "unlimited level" script. How does that work then?

Ask them. I'm pretty sure this is hardcoded, and can't be done through scripting alone. Bic alteration, maybe.

Your PC stops at level 40 but you keep gaining XP they have a way where every 4 levels or so past 40 you get a +1 to AB and some other things.

ohhhh... that makes sence. So the NWN engine can't handle levels over 40 like how it would in PnP.

Thanks for your help!

Exactley your Character sheet still tops out at 40 and can go no higher.

But a system they have in place there continues adding levels, you never see it on your character sheet but when you first logon it shows all that in the status window. It shows what level you are and how much XP you need to gain the next level.

I have a NWN module that allows levels up to 60. I'll take a look at it tonight, maybe, see how they did it.

but aren't you restricted to lvl 20 in NWN2, not really a point in having four classes is there?

I wouldn't hold my breath. Atari/Infogrames might not exist long enough to release expansion packs.

As said on the IRC, I should of stated that it was not an official statement, so there are no references by it, just a guess.

As for there never being any Epic levels? All i could say it w00t... I don't much care for them, especially in an MMO setting, it throws the balance so far off its not even funny.

Go further then that, let me remake him as a cleric and only give me 20 levels of it, I would be teh happy. :D

I was surprised, actually, to see how you built him the way you did...

Evil Clerics are teh h0t! There's something utterly sexual about a char that gains more power by being as dark and twisted as the player can think of. Sure other classes can get ahead by screwing over others, but only by serving a ruthless and spiteful god can you become directly more powerful by having your char go out of his/her way specifically to ruin some NPC's life...

Makes me so gleeful just thinking about it....

(i'm of course speaking more PnP, but the point remains.)
