NWN2 Toolset out a month early with pre-buys
You might want to check out NWVault if you'd like to get your handson the toolset pronto. It seems pre-buys will allow you to download the toolset a month early.

Yep ... but does this apply to UK pre-buys?
The cheapest I've found so far is £17.89 from SendIt.com
That's apx £7 cheaper than Amazon.

I preordered from GameStop, but haven't gotten anything yet myself. There was at the above yesterday, but it is gone now. I assume it will return.

If I understood Amazon right, normal preordering doesn't help you.
You've got to buy the extra "Preorder Pack", which will give you that code, and a few extra items & opportunities when finally playing the game. And a bunch of artwork data, should you want to make a fansite.
All this for just 9,99€!
I think I'll pass that one.

If I understand it right, if you pre-buy the regular version or one of the many different limited edition versions (they're different in every country), you do NOT get to download the toolset early. It's only certain special stores that offer it... the store that the Atari website links to not being one of them. They didn't think this one through, did they?

yeah, thats right. I ordered the game for 45euros and the 'toolset version' for another 10 euros via Amazon in Germany. I didnt know that they didnt offer that in the UK, that sucks.Zyndro wrote:If I understand it right, if you pre-buy the regular version or one of the many different limited edition versions (they're different in every country), you do NOT get to download the toolset early. Only source I've found is forums, but it's not very reliable (no Atari people have chimed in).neurotap wrote:

I have my code, but oddly enough I didn't actually pre-order. They sold me the box with the code for $10 as it should be, but there was no information taken for a pre-order.
*shrugs* Didn't think about it until after we left Best Buy. We'll call them or go back there with the box and see what's up.

Went to Gamestop yesterday. I asked the guy about the $10 pack. He knew nothing, but he went in the back to check if there was anything new. he found preorder cards that had a code on them. I put $5 down to preorder and got a code. The toolset isn't going to be released until the 22nd (next Friday) though.

I went to my gamestop, and the first guy knew nothing about it on Thursday. I bought it anyways (to get the DVD version) Called on Friday, and they said they had the pre-order cards in. Went in Sat, and the guy at the counter was like "huh, what pre-order cards" and the guy next to him behind the counter looked over with a look of "I work with idiots" and said "the ones at your feet" They were sitting in a NWN2 display on the floor.dougnoel wrote:Went to Gamestop yesterday.
