I was wondering about the specs (ram, processor, etc) needed for running the NWN linux server... also what kind of loads handled or results one could expect using different computers.
I have tried searching the web but have not found any useful information yet. I probably should try posting on the Vault but I know there are a lot of techs here in the Avlis community, so I'll start here.
I have a couple of pentium III 750s available, and I was thinking of taking a shot at setting up a NWN server. Should I just wait until I can afford better hardware or is it worth it to start at least?
Also minimum specs/tested results for Windows NWN servers would be useful, as I am really more experienced with Windows ... just planning on using Linux to take advantage of the old hardware and this seems a good reason to dive into it...
Thanks for any and all suggestions you might have...

NWN is more memory bound than anything else. You really want at least 1Gb/game server process. Linux doesn't have to deal with GUI processing either. Based on past experience you can easily accomodate 8-10 players and probably be comfortable with another 10.
