Characters 'stuck' in Dwarftrade

Post by A Wanderer » Tue May 02, 2006 5:47 am

I was in Dwarftrade tending to a tree when NWN crashed on me. I tried a couple times after rebooting to relog as 'The Wanderer' but NWN crashed after I got to the log in screen and tried to log in Wanderer.

So I got on my alt and I could log in fine. I ran up to Dwarftrade, and now he's stuck there too. *laughs* His name's Grom Blackmane.

How do I go about fixing this? I have no files in my override folder.

Try setting your graphics lower and then log in, you can change it back later, ive had that happen to me before and that solved it for me.

Wait an hour and log into another server.

With no override files all I can guess is the video settings, I had trouble in Dwarftrade until I turned off the grass and such.

Hope that helps

Strangely I needed to update my graphic card driver.

I also have had trouble recently, for the first time ever... couldn't log into the DM client for 20 minutes or so after crashing out of an event.

VERY frustrating.
Success will be lovely, but you will have to go out and get it! Failure will invite itself in.

That's what I'm thinking too, because my son is crashed out in single player, and can't load the module.

I'll update my drivers tonight, and see what happens.

I used to crash in Dwarftrade about 50% of the time when i had the custom cave ceiling hak in my override. but then again i used to crash around 50% of avlis as well with that hak till i removed it. And yes, even in places like dwarftrade with no cave ceilings.

I upgraded my video drivers, and have been through dwarftrade no problems a couple of times already (I jumped servers first to make sure).

For my son (we play SP on a seperate installation) I reinstalled the game, and it made the character playable again.
