portalling and logging in (sometimes)

It seems that randomly when i portal to another server or log in, the screen comes up but it wont go past logging into server i have left it, and it stayed there for over five minutes. When this was happening i went to another set of module, and it worked fine. I have never had this problem anywhere else. I was told this might be due to lagginess, but sometimes i couldnt log myself into any of the servers even when some were empty. Hm to clarify, when i direct connect to avlis, popup comes up attempting to find server, then it gets stuck on logging into server. Thanks ahead for the help.

Bioware officially released the 1.67 patch. This generated a lot of traffic which completely starved all communications with the Master Server. Our game servers are configured to not let anybody in unless the Master Server positively authenticates them[1]. Unfortunately they didn't see the need to provide some sort of timeout message so all players see is a hang on login. I've filed a bug against that behavior.

[1] No, we're not going to disable that, so don't ask.
