A pure monk isn't fast... :P

Now, a Changeling monk-psion using Accelerate after having changed 5 times into pixie-form...now THAT is fast... 8)

Eeks, ever seen a Keen, acid-dripping blade in the hands of a sneak-attacking Sereg weaponmaster? Somehow, I don't think that +5/30 will help.

They can't be hit, but they can't hit anything either. Monks can, and always will, be magekillers. Stunning fist and Quivering Palm are both fort saves. Highest saves in the game, etc.

Oh, and you have to deal with that...Siri person. creepy red glowing eyes and a cheerful demeanor. I mean, how the hell are you happy smily won't hurt a fly evil???

Other than that, monks are pretty cool, psi monks are even better, cleric monks are the best though. Nothing like Magic Vestment to shoot your AC into the stratosphere

No, at Hebrin, who sometimes runs across an area before a visual presence of the characters resolves, and long before anyone can type a greeting. Gotta love Accelerate :D

Generally Hebrin talks to lots of people, but when you have to be at a meeting, or drop things off before you log, or you need something from somewhere specific, you try to rush. So, umm, yeah, the second one.

*blinks* monks way to powerfull?? Hhmm, I know my monk does not go down easily but there are some classes that can beat him eventhough they are lower level. And the monk AB is not exactly sweet compared to for instance, a fighter.... show me something with an AC of 50 I wont be able to hit it :(

I'm sure Brother Logani would go down easily enough if someone asked him nicely.

You forgot casting owl's wisdom to help out with that magic vestment but MV only last's so long now so it's realy kinda pointless. you cast it ( depending on your cleric lvls and if you high enough cleric to be able to cast the upper +4@+5 MV) and it wear's out in a round or two ( or how ever the team has it set up now :) )

I love my Happy to your face energetic monk/ cleric, It may be an act she may be smiling cause she know's your gonna die soon or is planing on cuting your throat while you sleep.. muhuhuhaha..
Food for thought i've met alot of people in RL who are nice to your face will even smile and be helpfull , once your back is turned they will drive a knife so far into your back it come's out your stomach Why can't one be RPed in a game?  :P

Most likely, Ed and Vian would go down to even 10 DM controlled Sereg... just depends on how bad the DM wants you dead

Yep dm's have all mighty power of the gods hands at their fingertips. Once i got attacked by one of i think Sarmons skeletons in elfgate that had +112 first attack. I got hit with two attacks and each did over 100 hitpoints each. Lets just say when a dm wants something to not get defeated they can and will make that happen.

I've never actually seen a monk on speed, if I did I prolly didn't know they were hasted. The buggers move too fast without haste anyway
