Errrm...

As I recall from the trial, part of what really damned Cuxn was the fact that he WASN'T an M'Chekian citizen. A huge deal was made over the fact he was an elf, and therefore not subject to the protections afforded Mikonan citizens.

Maybe I misinterpreted what I heard...

Hmm I thought he was actualy part of the M'Chek military. But I could be wrong, that was a long time ago, and a situation thankfully forgoten. :)

I should be more clear...

It's not illegal for a member of the T'Nanshi military to kill a member of the M'Chek military. For someone else it would be, but that would be a simple case of murder, and the fact that these people are soliders wouldn't really be part of the legal issue.

If someone from the order says "This is frowned on" they can speak for themself, or their order, but not the goverment.
Thats what I meant.

Y'know Vanor, I think you're right. Cuxn WAS part of the M'Chek military... But he's also an elf, right?

Hooo, boy! That was a confusing mess. I watched it play out, and I'm DEFINITELY on the side of fewer laws and more RP myself.

Course, I don't play LG characters... *chuckle*

It isn't illegal, but I can assure you that if you're caught by a member of the M'Chek military or some guard group, you're dead all the same. Also, if you are killing enemy soldiers with no sanctioned mission, then it is murder. However, few PCs will actually ever admit they don't have any strategic goals in mind and that they are simply killing for the exp, so by and large, those caught can be considered KIA rather than punished for murder :)
