Kurathene Open Beta
Ladies and Gentlemen, I am proud to announce the beginning of the Kurathene Open Beta. We've been up and running for a while now in a closed beta, but now we'd like to open things up to the whole player base, and get your feedback, comments and impressions of the server. So log on, have a look around and enjoy.
Connection Information:
Direct Connect to: avlis.blackdagger.net:5130
Password: KuratheneBetaPW
Note:
You can find a map of the Empire on the wiki. At this point, Trenium, Arvanos and Valorian are not accessible, and nor is Kuras. To allow you to get from North to South, we've linked Medec and Julaspium temporarily.

Haks:
You'll need the Kurathene1_1.hak file, which can be downloaded from the download site here:
http://195.169.215.21/cgi-bin/avlis.py? ... S2/hakpaks
In addition, you will need the LATEST version of the CCS. If you're not sure which version you have, and have not logged onto the beta server before, I suggest you download it again. The file is also on the download site, and is named tw010_CCS368.rar.

A quick question - is Kurathene using the Avlis server vault during the beta? As I recently came back to Avlis, I was thinking of creating a new char, so - may I do it there? Or is it a local server vault and we should expect a purge before the server goes public?
If I ever edit a post it most probably cause of the typos. I make a hell lot of them when I write.

During beta, we're using a seperate vault that will be cleared before we go live, so you won't be able to keep any charactes. Welcome back, though.myzmar wrote:A quick question - is Kurathene using the Avlis server vault during the beta? I started a thread in World Development for feedback.Jonezie, can you make a place to post bugs in?

Will the current Kurathene characters be allowed to participate in the fief wars once the server passes the testing phase?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The characters that you use during the beta will be deleted once the server goes live. When that happens, however, Kurathene will function just like any other CoPaP server - you will be able to go there and be involved with existing Avlis/CoPap characters.Isengrim wrote:Will the current Kurathene characters be allowed to participate in the fief wars once the server passes the testing phase?

Sorry for being unclear - I meant whether the PCs currently living on the Kuras server will be able to move directly from it to the fiefs (once the test phase is over), without for example needing to portal like to other CoPaP worlds. In other words, will the communication between the fiefs server and the current City of Kuras server look rather like Elysia - Ferrell communication, Elysia - Tairis communication or Mikona - Kuras.Jonezie wrote:I'm not sure what you mean by this. Ah. You'll be able to walk there from Kuras, much like going between Elysia and Ferrell. You will also be able to walk there from Deglos. You will not, however, be able to server hop from the south to Kurathene.Isengrim wrote:Sorry for being unclear - I meant whether the PCs currently living on the Kuras server will be able to move directly from it to the fiefs (once the test phase is over), without for example needing to portal like to other CoPaP worlds. Any fief lord in need of an overeager Paladin? Hmm... wait, she has a fief lord already.

But Vittoria has only 10 INT. She thinks Krator is a noble lord who will care about his people and need her sword in that righteous case!Hert Snyder wrote:

Love the look and feel of the place, it's bloody good.
Got to meet the fief lord of my Toranite cleric and explore the fief to which he is attached.
