Can WM's choose Unarmed as Wpn of choice?

Post by AyounTheDark » Tue Jan 10, 2006 11:49 am

Heya..

Just wondered.. Can WeaponMasters really choose unarmed as weapon of choice? Or does it need to be a wielded wpn?

Thx.

In PnP they're allowed to, in NWN, no they're not.

Oversight/design decision on Bioware's part, apparently.

Immense cosmic power... Itty bitty living space.

Do weapon of Choice Kama. Monks get all their unarmed attack bonuses with this weapon, might not be a bad idea.

uh huh and then two weapon fighting too ? but even if they get alot atacks that way, the crit rance will increase only to 18-20. Thats what a scimitar does on its own. And with 1D6 and then perhaps dex they wont deal to much dmg...

I remember thinking that too... kama-master monk... then (a long time ago) I ran a comparison of the damage vs. that of the fists and the kama-master wasn't coming out ahead until a fair way into epics, and that was with taking fighter levels too for specialization. And then of course you've got those nasty undeads, constructs, elementals, etc that are crit-immune... martial bonuses might make it different in Avlis, but then again from what I've seen and heard a lot of the really rough places feature crit immune nasties.
