It contains a ton of new functionality for our upcoming premium modules and the builder community will be very excited to get their hands on it. With Brian’s arrival, we’ve also been able to touch up all of the art content from Pirates of the Sword Coast and cram that into the patch as well. The only thing that didn’t fit was the two tilesets, which we’ll release as free hakpaks available from our site.
On a related note, there will be a 1.68, a 1.69, and beyond. Thanks to the ongoing success of the Online Store, you’ll be excited to hear that we’re in an excellent position to continue expanding and supporting NWN into the future. We expect the typical rollout to be as follows:
1. A new patch will be released, containing new functionality and scripting features.
2. A premium module will be released, showcasing that new functionality and introducing new art and audio content.
3. A new patch will be released, integrating the art content from the previous premium module and containing new functionality and scripting features for the next. New tilesets will continue to be released as free hakpaks.

There was never any doubt in my mind about this. I've been preparing for 1.67 already.terryrayc wrote:nwn is still alive

And since there is at *LEAST* one premium module in the works right now, there will definetly be a patch that comes after it, since all new content added in premium modules gets patched in as standard content in the next patch after that premium module gets released. (In some cases, it takes more than 1 patch before all content from a premium module is patched in... and some stuff, like partial tileset modifications, may never get patched).

That got me interested to see what will be in 1.67.
So far all I could find is this from a Bioware team programmer:

There will be a 1.67 update.
It will NOT contain horses.
We hope to include a bunch of new content from the Pirates of the Sword Coast Premium Module in the update.
There will also be a LOT of new functionality for scripters in the 1.67 update, plus a few other things.
There will be a few bug fixes, but the focus of the update has been primarily on adding new stuff.
Hope that clarifies things a bit,
Craig.

We wont see notes on what will be included until at least the beta testing of the patch in Jan.
And as cross reference to my comments in the horse thread... I never expected horses to be in 1.67, but my suspicion of them eventually being in a patch was always much farther in the future than 1.67.

I figured as much as well. One thing I did note was the fact that they are making money off the premium mods (I paid for all of them so far) and that is enough money for them to keep working on nwn. Which means as long as they continue to make good mods and keep the price low, people will continue to buy them and the money will keep rolling in.Themicles wrote:There was never any doubt in my mind about this. I was a little worried about their idea of Premium mods...but I think they've done well with it. I look forward to downloading many more.
