Cave Ruins Tileset (large Image)

Post by Gimlor » Sat Sep 24, 2005 4:15 pm

Just a heads up. Anyone using the Cave Ruins tile set as an override, I have updated the hak on the Vault. The update fixes the per tile lighting issue.. and a couple of missing ceilings.

There will be another update in the future. I have added lava and pits, and adopted Gestalts naming convention, so when it's released, you will see the ceilings in Avlis (Deglos and all other standard caves) as long as you are using the override.

I also "plan" on adding raise lower. so if you know of a cave hak that uses raise lower that I can reference.. please link to it here.

Thanks

Here is a link to the ovveride.
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=ha ... il&id=2238

If you want the other versions of this tile set
Stand-alone
Overwriting
search for never roofers on the vault

The lava and pits are not part of the current version. I’m wanting to add raise lower with ceiling (think that will look killer) before I release another version.

I also have about custom tiles and 2 custom groups I’m thinking about adding

2x2 spiral stairs up
2x2 spiral stairs down
1x1 Large Column (think Moria)

For painting down large gem tiles
1x1 emerald gem tile (like the current crystal tiles)
1x1 Ruby gem tile (like the current crystal tiles)
1x1 Diamond gem tile (like the current crystal tiles)

I just DLed this to try it with my shitty ATI card (hopefully it works)

Do I have to place ALL of those files into my override?

Wow, looks great. I've been using the cave override for ages now, but the update looks nice.

The update fixed a serious light issue where area lighting wasnt showing up correctly.

the update in the pics aren't out yet. I have a few never before seen tiles to add which should make it possible to make a actual dwarf city. so stay tuned for more pics.

Is this why all the screenshots I see posted look so much better than anything I see? Because of overrides like this one? Is there a comprehensive list of Gimlor's Way Cool Overrides™?

Perhaps someone can fill me in on what "preferences" you are talking about. I have searched 3 or 4 folders in my NWN directory, and all of the video options in game as well....and I have found nothing..

Help,

Help,
I thought he meant in the game options while you're playing, but I couldn't find any option about fade.

Anyway, I was in the spider caves earlier with the override and it was awesome. :)
