The 'single person with a narrow and rather innacurate view' would in this case be you. The person you claim to have a narrow and innacurate view was upset, but as he mentions in this very thread, he did NOT file a griefing report. He handled it ICly, and one of his fellow guild members contacted us and asked if we'd look into it. I PMed the player, he sent us his account, the team gathered accounts from other sources, and the issue was expediently resolved.VETT SCALES L7 wrote:Try getting the whole story before taking a side and calling grief. Or ask the two other players that were with this 'griefed' individual what happened rather than relying on a single persons narrow and rather inaccurate view.
And while we're on it... let's all try to remember that this is a cooperative game, a group game. AD&D has always been a multiplayer game. In PnP you need at the very least 2 people, a player and a DM. Bad players try to make it fun for themselves, while good players try to make it fun for all.
So when a group of PCs goes into an adventuring area and kicks out another group of PCs who are trying to complete a scripted quest there... you can hide behing 'being IC' all you want, and it may not be griefing, but it's sure as hell inconsiderate to your fellow players and doesn't win you any points with the staff. IMHO it's a load of horseshit.
