Post by aquamage » Fri Aug 19, 2005 9:14 pm

my gamespy login account was accidentally changed and i am not having any luck changing back. Now when I log in to avlis the server does'nt recognize me and I can't access my existiong character(Thomas Drakon). Is there someway for me to access or be given access to my character. Please help, he was young and foolish but I am fond of him!

The only thing I can suggest, at the bottom of the game spy login page theres a little box, Forgot password, click it and you should receive the details in your email. Sorry never had that prob.

if you click "remember password" or something like that in the logon box, your password is saved in the nwnplayer.ini file.

look for the [Profile] field. it will look something like this:
nwnplayer.ini wrote:[Profile]
ShowMessageOfTheDay=0
Client Port=5120
Player Name="your_gamespy_name"
Password="your_password"
Remember Password=1
ShowPregenChars=1
JournalPage=2
Email Address=devoured_by_snails@yahoo.com
ServerList Show All Versions=0
do this, and you will never forget your password again :)

Also, if you have already forgotten your password, you should be able to retrieve it from Bioware. Enter your ID and click on the Login Help link. This gives you options to either reset your password or resend your ID (Community Name). This assumes that you know the email that you used when you registered with Bioware.
Life is never as bad as you think it is, although that doesn't help at the time.
