Rite of Closure for the Rift in Ferrell
Edit:
The event (& pre-event) will be all day Saturday 13 August (two days from the time of this posting). If you are not involved with this plot, please stay off the Ferrell server. Thank you.
For those involved, the pre-event will be 1030-1530 GMT, and the main event will be 1600-2200 GMT. For the main event, be prepared to follow these rules - all to reduce lag & maximize fun:
1) No parties.
2) No summons, companions, or familiars.
Thanks
To all involved I need to schedule a time for this. There are too many groups and PCs involved, so I need to make this Avlis-wide OOC announcement. For those who wish to participate and are listed as such, I need to pick a four hour window for the event. I'm hoping to do this event two weekends from now - before schools start back up (and I'm unavailable the following weekend of 19-21 August).
Everyone coordinate with your group members and post when you can commit 4 hours. I'm willing to do this at any time that weekend, as long as the 4 hours fit within:
Friday 12 August 2005 2300 GMT
Monday 15 August 2005 0600 GMT
That's from the time I get home from work Friday until I absolutely have to go to sleep Sunday night before work Monday.
Once I get the time block then I'll make a seperate announcement for the restriction of the Ferrell server.
If you just can't participate during the chosen time, then please find a replacement for you. The crafting should be this weekend, and changes could also affect that.
Thanks for all your efforts,
IceThorn

It's a time range over 2+ days. It's not only 2 times to choose from, but a 2+ day window in which to choose a four hour slot. If the majority of times needed are Euro/Oz times then that's when it'll be.Marijn wrote:I posted IceThorns message on the Ashen Boards.
Although it might mean nightwork for us Europeans, count me in.

The people involved with this event have pretty much all been accepted/selected. It's people who've been involved for months and given much (mostly in healing supplies
). The lag monster will kill more people than any other, so the number who can participate is very limited. The defense force is being coordinated by Grunt, but don't be surprised if he tells you there aren't any more openings. It's a lag limit - not his fault.

...Seriously, the part of the group (defense force) that I have say over is full. Had to turn away people already too

Sorry to any who were disappointed.

I'm not getting much feedback on times. We need to schedule this so people can plan around it. I'm going to propose two times, and people can post here or PM me if you can't make either. Do that as fast as you can, and include times when you can play.
1) Saturday 13 August 1600-2200 GMT (need only 1600-2000 GMT)
2) Sunday 14 August 1600-2200 GMT (need only 1600-2000 GMT)
Those should be great for Euro's and starting 0900-1200 U.S. times. I'm not sure about elsewhere, but I think those are the best times for the majority of players. We can shift those a bit if needed.
Send your Tessarch a PM or post in your groups thread whether you prefer #1, #2, or another time (and if you just can't make either). Let's get this planned already.

Either day works fine for me. I'm quite flexible.

(updated 9 Aug 2005)
(will update this as more info comes my way)
The Ashen/Blue Quadrate is ready to go at the Saturday block of time.
The Ebony Quadrate is ready to go at the Saturday block of time.
The Green Quadrate is good to go on Saturday.
The Ivory Quadrate will also be ready to go at the Saturday block of time.
The only thing I await is an okay from the two branches of the RDF (Rite Defense Force). That should be fairly soon in the coming. The FEAT portion of it will be ready to go at that time and the OoG portion will be notifying me shortly.
Any one of the four Quadrates and/or Defense Force that cannot make it at that time will need to locate a suitable replacement.
So in summation,
.........looks like Saturday is a go.
