New Monitor help. . .

Post by uaioe » Wed Jul 27, 2005 1:12 am

Hey all,

I just got an IBM P260 21" monitor 2 days ago, and while the thing is gorgeous, my Avlis screen is cut off at the bottom. The bottom half of my toolbar is off the screen. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how I could remedy this little situation!

BTW: I have tried to change the resolution settings in game, and nothing seems to work. . .

Any help here would be sweet. . .

thanks in advance,

It sounds like you need to set the screen sizes and position from your monitor controls.

Choose your prefered resolution
And adjust Vsize and position to centre and fit the top to botom size.
Hsize and HPos to ajust the left to right size and position.

These can be usually accessed from the monitor control pannel or on screen menu. (buttons on the monitor not your PC desktop)

Hope that helps

Newer monitors tend to have an auto configure button, or option in the settings menu, that can be used to automatically fit the image to the screen.

This tends to work best with a full screen white square, or if you have an nVidia video card, there's a calibration screen you can display that works well.

If no such option is available, just do it manually like Nevyn says.
