Longbow, but in general it's only to draw the attention of things or to hit a nearly-dead running enemy. Or if I really have no way to get near my opponent.

I also use my Shaahesk crossbow when I feel like letting other people do all the work while still being able to claim I contributed.

Longbow! It has been Amy's weapon since she was level one :) Well a different kind of bow ;) I'm not sure if I bought it or if someone gave it to me, but my second weapon was a composite longbow +1 :)

Merry only has a sling she got from Navarra :)

Manticore quills, thrown boulders, and a slaad's magic spit.

Need a misc. option. :P

darts. I know they're rare, and not the best. But the sound of them, and just killing thins in one shot with them rocks. Darts darts darts!

darts are awesome if you have high strength and can not use throwing axes.

I did not read the initial post but just went clicking away for the poll... so there should be one less in throwing axe and one more in longbow... sorry!

For my character at this point axes are too heavy to lug around but in RL I always thought they were the kewlness.... sometimes they will have a throwing axe-in-the-target game at the renaissance faires and I usually waste a lot of money on those. Sometimes I even get it to stick in the wood!

P.S. dear NWN where are my throwing daggers, lol... between those and throwing axes it's a tossup

:) :)

I play an elf so a Longbow is the best ranged choice IMO

Plus I'm about to take the first AA level for this char so longbow was really the only realistic option.

Gnomish Darts (on-hit confusion, let them fight it out amongst themselves before you have to do anything)

Actually those Dubunat Darts are pretty good too (+1d10 bonus damage), combine that with a STR bonus of 10, and I can do 24 points damage with a single dart (not critical). 8)

Sling. She's a druid, therefor sworn to not use any weapon outside of the druid weapons, in which sling is the only one.

It's not such a bitter pill though, Divinia loves the protection of her Towershield+4 while she is in a shoot-out. :D

Longbow - which incidently is also my choice for close up weapon as well :-)

Unless I am mining or collecting wood in which case the weapon I use is the one I have in my hand!

Throwing axes, just wish they didn't deplete so darned fast/weigh so much.. :(

Any chance the builders could be convinced to give all throwing axes 10% weight reduction so they aren't such a drag? This isn't PnP and you can't freaking retrieve them so this would be nice yessum

Sling if I have to, but am seriously considering switching to darts or shurikens for the STR mod bonus. But this will rely on 2 things 1) me either getting another STR point or getting some magic bags so I can carry them w/o encumbering myself and 2) waiting to see how the new recipies work out, since I would make all I use. Or axes, but haven't tried to make them yet.

Zach uses a shortbow because of the range and accessibility of decent arrows, but carries around some very nasty shuriken and darts for special occassions.

This is in the works, the new weaponsmithing has very high quality and light throwing axes. Just waiting on the all clear for the new system to be imported.

Longbow...Good range, decent damage, arrows are easy to find.

The AK-47. When you absolutely have to kill every mofo in the room, accept no substitute.

Yeah, I found it quite an amusing piece of weaponery to use. The 'POP' noise they make when fired, and they kick just like a oversized shotgun.
