Please welcome our new Team Member, Manuel the White!

Post by Orleron » Sun Mar 16, 2003 5:40 pm

For a long time now, we have been looking for someone to oversee and enhance our website. We have some expertise in and around the team, but we don't have the time to devote to it. Manuel the White has bravely volunteered for the job, and he brings a lot to the table. He is a professional and an expert web admin/designer. So we are all very glad that he is here, and we await some serious web enhancements to our site. Welcome aboard!

Thank you for the kind words. With such an introduction, I'd better be gracious and use the typical Iron Chef reply: I'll do my best. The community should be involved in this process. If you have a recommendation you can send it to me. As an alternative, there will likely be opportunities to give feedback in public polls or forum threads.

lol what a question.... if he's a professional i bet he does. Except he is a zope (http://www.zope.org) fan like me and does know PHP but refuses to use it.

@Manuel: great to hear you're a member of the avlis team. Looking forward to see the new page

Not to offend the previous person who designed and maintained the site, BUT can we do away with the key west family beach portrait, and the clapboard faux wood panelling look of the website. I feel like I'm in the Albatross Motel in Collingwood Ontario waiting for duck season to start. Or was it rabbit season...

Yeah, good for you, Manuel the White. This website looks quite good, but could use a good makeover.

As a first suggestion I would recommend keeping the links to the hak-packs used on Avlis up to date and providing some text that explains which pack is used on which server.

I'm sure the community will think off some other things to keep you busy.
So much fun,
yet so little time to enjoy it.

I see you have made your decision to help out! I know it will be worth all of the effort you will put in!
