Question
For the Hakpacks.. the fullinstaller version is not working... it says in progress? did everyone else just do it manually? if so can anyone tell me where to put and how to put the individual hakpacks in the correct folders.

You download the hak's needed, then use WinRAR, found here: http://www.rarlabs.com, you unrar the files, and put the HAK's in the hak folder, the tlk in the tlk folder, and so forth. I hope this explains well enough.

The full installer hasn't been working for a while now. To do it manually, the .hak files should be put into your NWN/hak directory. There is also a tlk file you need - copaptlk_3_4.tlk. This goes into NWN/tlk. Then, as long as you have all the haks and other required bits and pieces (SoU, HotU, CEP, NWN version 1.65) you should be right to go.

No, don't update to 1.66. There will be an announcement when you need to do that. Make sure you have all of the haks - you need all the standard ones as well as the Alley's hak. for Mikona IIRC. You should have:
avlis_main1_2,
copaphak4_4,
9x CEP haks,
universalhak_4_3,
Any sever-specific haks that you need for Mikona/Deglos/Kuras, etc.

you need to be client version 1.65 at the moment as we haven't upgraded to 1.66 yet. (in progress I assume, but it broke a few things that wll need to be fixed.) So, you have two choices, etiher revert to 1.65 (http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch_revert_hotu.html) or wait until the server software updates.
