Okay, that's very cool.

But, if that's all they do, it will get kind of old real quick.

Actually, watching fencing in real life gets kind of old real quick too.

So, they did a great job.

Actually, they redid four whole new sets of combat animations. There's lots more than just that short clip.

Only if you don't know what's going on.

Those were slashing weapons though, they should use sabre moves, not that prissy foil stuff

It would also be better if they were in like white clothes, that have no armour bonus whatsoever. Pretty kool though :D

ah that reminds me of the monk override, which give cool monk moves. The downside is that some combat moves are also used for other animations. Like the prepare move (the way you move just prior to attacking anything) it is also used if you're going to drink a potion.
So a long time ago, when i had that pack, my character would move in a really silly martial art way to...drink that potion.

these are local haks, meaning you install them on your PC and it works for you, no matter on which world you play.

Alternate Combat Animations v3.0
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=5895

Read the documentation, it's important.

Essentially, this new set is doing the new animations through the use of a SetPhenotype command. Each of the new fighting animations is a new phenotype. And no, they don't have large ones included. Although they do tell you how you could include them. This is important for those of you that want to use the new animations, assuming that you want to use them and Avlis hasn't included them.

What you'll basically have to do, is go into the hak find the models associated with the combat syle you want, and extract those. Then, rename them so that they will overwrite the models you use, and put these renamed models into your override directory.

How do you know which Pheno has which combat moves? I'm not sure haven't looked too closely at it.

Honestly.... while I'm a fan of using the Override directory and customizing your experience to be the way you want... doing what I've outlined above isn't for the faint of heart. There's a lot of models to do, you'll need to be sure of the pheno you're doing it to, and you'd also really need to crack open the Avlis haks, extract their custom models, and do the same process to those.

Otherwise you'll get some oddities (possible crashes, not sure) if you try to use Lisa's stuff in combat for example. The clothing that is. CEP clothing/armor? Same deal.

Honestly, given the amount of work that would be involved (and the huge bloat that would happen), I wouldn't hold my breath too long for this.

You're probably best off continuing to use his v2 stuff, which is here:
