Avlis switches to new version of VaultSTER

Post by Orleron » Sun May 08, 2005 7:57 pm

A few bottlenecks have been removed, and most, if not all, CoPaP worlds are moving to upgrade to the new version of VaultSTER asap. While this is happening, you will experience a lot of broken portals because the old VaultSTER and the new VaultSTER are incompatable. Avlis is on the new version of VaultSTER, as is Tairis'nadur. All of the newer WIP's are also on it as well.

There will also be a rearrangement of linkups to make things a little more closer to rules for Planescape and Spelljammers. So some of the links that are going down will not be restored, but instead replaced with other links.

It just took us a while to change over to the new version because simultaneously a new version of NWNX was released too. This new version has object support, so eventually we will have ways to let you transfer your world-specific items across server lines and store them in persistent chests.

In a nutshell VAULTster allows, one server to connect to another sever, and transmit the .bic files. Its how a Character from Avlis, which is located at PJ's, can travel to the Outlands, which is located on the East Coast of USA, and then to Arborea, which is in the sunny state of Florida.

Simplly amazing what can be acomplished.

You'll have to go through the Outlands server. Much better IMHO.
