Too many skill points?

Post by Sinbadsam » Mon May 02, 2005 1:54 pm

Early this morning I leveled with one of my characters. I was tired at the time.

She is a 3 rogue, 1 fighter, 3 beast, a wemic.

She has an 18 Int, and has a feat for Appraisal. She skill in that is now a 17.

Total levels 4
Int Bonus 4
Feat Bunus 3
skills levels over current level 4

The skill should be 15 but how did I get 17? Or am I doing the math wrong?

That is not the only skill that is greater than she should have. Hide in Shadows and Move Silently are greater than they should be.

It is not like I have too many skill points but like the game engine let me put too many of the skill points I have per level 12,,,into skills at greater level that should be allowed.

Right now she has only 9 xp over what it takes for her current level

I think this would be a better forum to get your question answered.

Don't forget that Beast levels count as character levels as well. So your total level is 7, not 4. This means you can have 10 ranks if you've put as many skillpoints into it as you could (4 at first level, +1 for each level). Add 4 from Int bonus, and 3 from the feat and you get 17.

OK my thanks, just it seems I never had a wemic with alot of skill points to throw around.

Barbs get so few, those are planned very carefully. :D

When you have alot, alot of skills can be saturated.

Again My Thanks

Going to take me a long time with my alt Wemic Ranger to get anywhere near that, maybe a couple of years or more.

Too bad large weapons can't be dual wielded. But scythe wielding, large shield toting wemic assassin is still scary.
