My advice would be not to update until you get a message that client and server don't match.

EDIT: Or you can wait an hour ... damn crossposts ;)

right click and hit save as... what you're seeing is the actual data i think, it should be the file all the same

alternatively once the page full of weird symbols loads up fully, choose "save page as" or whatever from the menu and it should work.

hope that helps

Yeah, that issue is your Web Browser not being able to interpret the MIME type of the file and assuming it is a huge plain text file, RC >> Save As lets you save it regardless.

thats okay, i learned this fairly recently as well, im not that computer savy generally. but if you just right click and save as just click "okay" you dont need to rename the file, it should automatically call itself whatever the page is called which is the name of the file.

When I right-click and select "save as," the file name field is automatically filled in as "view topic." And there's no "ok" option, just "save."

When I right-click and select "save link as," the file name field is automatically filled in as "avlis_main_1_2" and, again, there is a "save" option but not an "ok" option.

I'm assuming that by "ok" you mean "save" (but in my great computer ignorance, I take nothing for granted and ask everything). And it seems like the option I should choose is "save link as" - correct?

Thanks again. ;)
