Guilds for a Tyedu tribesman?
I have a nifty idea for an tyedu tribesman (sort of Amer Indian type of warrior shaman) as an alt but before i spend time on it, my main concern is it would be difficult for him to join a guild IC - and my experience has been outside of guilds, no prayer of DM involvement and harder to form consistent party, dramatically limiting the fun.
As a tribesman he wouldn't be party to war, would not be in any churches, or mage orders. Crafting would not be an emphasis. Am I missing any other types of guilds he could join?

Could start your own group of Tyedu warriors, maybe? Look at Rhissaerk - started as one of the only lizardman on Mikona, and now he's got almost 10 lizardmen and a few kobold slaves that follow him as their warlord.Kieron wrote:I have a nifty idea for an tyedu tribesman (sort of Amer Indian type of warrior shaman) as an alt but before i spend time on it, my main concern is it would be difficult for him to join a guild IC - and my experience has been outside of guilds, no prayer of DM involvement and harder to form consistent party, dramatically limiting the fun.

There was, for a time, a very enjoyable Tyedu tribe camped out in Elysia. Sadly most of us were alts and without DM support it whithered and died.
Perhaps you could be a member of that and start it again?

Heh, I still have Vor'shani (one of the tribe shamans) in my vault in hopes that the Dharur tribe might be rekindled one day. Kieron, if you do decided to roll up a Dharur, let me know...i'll be more then happy to stomp around with you some times, make fun of the city folk and constantly be astonished by their wierd customs.

This actually was started by Fuzz but kinda petered out - but since Rhiss is on an ungodly number of hoursCould start your own group of Tyedu warriors, maybe? If you want to give this sorta thing a whirl, you'll need to advertise and also make a positive impression about playing a Tyeduan barbarian. It helps if you have at least one, preferably a few members that generally play their Tyeduan characters regularly, but this isn't required.
I think this has also been done with a certain family of dwarves - Stonehammer, I think they were called?

did you guys ever manage to get a Tyedu nature spirit added for your tribe? i guess back then it was less urgent if the team added it as it wouldn't have capped your shaman's spellcasting...borneo wrote:

If you are doing the warrior shaman you might want to swing by the AKN. It would be very IC for a shaman to want to learn the herbalism part of that craft, and depending on play time there can be several low level characters hanging around. We do not do alot in the DM plot, but its a good way to meet people, and go on gathering adventures.
The spirit god of the Dharur is Haru, but I dont think the concept that Anticybr created was ever submitted directly to the team. *scratches head* Hmm, I might have actually sent it once long after the group of us stoped playing our tribesmen, cant remember any more...I know I was thinking about doing it just because there was so much details developed for it, and it would be a shame to see it all go to waste...We even had our own language developed!Kieron wrote:did you guys ever manage to get a Tyedu nature spirit added for your tribe? i guess back then it was less urgent if the team added it as it wouldn't have capped your shaman's spellcasting...

...it could still be done
