When I try and get into Avlis I am rec'g this message...

Could not load module. Missing required custom talk table. "copaptlk_3_4.tlk"

I have tried several times to load. The folder appears to be there. I have tried to reload it also, to same result. Please be thorough in describing how to work thru this as I am semi- computor literate. (that is I know how to turn it on and off)

where did you drop the file? There should be a tlk folder in your NWN directory. drop it there. all .haks go in the .hak folder

That's the file in .RAR form. You need to uncompress it using something that can open .rar files ...Winzip might be able to (don't recall)

Make sure you have it in your tlk folder, NOT your hak folder.

i pretty sure i downloaded all the haks, but im still missing something called copaptlk_3_4.tlk
could some one help please?

Well, I've got a similar problem. The links I've found for the TLK file deliver TLK files versions 3.4.1 and 3.4.2. I stuck 'em both in the TLK folder in the NWN folder. When I run NWN, it says TLK version 3.4 is missing.

I'm confused already.

The copaptlk_3.4.tlk should have a size of 4,182 Kb and must be in the nwn\tlk folder.

If you somehow have a 3.4.1 or 3.4.2 version (don't know how that is possible, perhaps due to downloading it) and it has the same size like the one above just renamed it.

The dialog.tlk needs to be in your nwn folder as well, but that should be there already since you upgraded to 1.64, check it anyway.

Thanks for helping solve the first problem...heres the next that popped up....

It now appears Im missing the avlis_main1_0.hak. Once again I have downloaded and extracted it, however I am unsure which folder to put it into....I have tried a couple but once again no luck.

The avlis_main1_0.hak should be in your nwn\hak folder, just like the other haks. Filesize should be 1,451 KB

If you use the full CEP1.50 hak, you cannot logon to Wilderness, because it is specifically searching for the cep150patch.hak file. No clue how you would fix that, seems like a dumbass CEP issue.

EDIT: also, the full version has no cep2da.hak, so get that somewhere else.

EDIT^2: FUck the CEP 1.50 full file. Just get the 1.01 and update. Man whoever packaged 1.50 full was asleep at the wheel.

I just dl'd the full cep 1.50 version, the exe, and there is a cep2da.hak in it. I just installed it to a temp folder (manual move after that), looks like it is all there.

I use powerarchiver, unzips/rars everything.

http://www.rarlab.com Rar files need to be unrarred not unzipped.

Just how badly screwed am i?

Could not use the "update function" that been promting me fer weeks now.

Could not use the "uptade function at the NWN pop up screen {main option screen}

Went to bioware as the red script told me to do and downloaded the "critical" paks suggested. Following all the instructions.

Now when i use the "multiplayer" option i get to the "name and password" screen. Then instead of goint ot the bio / spy ware page where i can see all the channels, i get looped back to the option page where i can join by LAN//multiplayer options again.

Bah!

Anything to do with the fact that it took me an hour to manually download the critical file off bioware?

Should i scrap and reload all under my NWN directory? does the server keep a copy of my charcter?

Dunno about the rest, but it's a server vault - so as long as you log in with the same gamespy name, your characters will be there.

I have been trying to get the Universal Hak 4_3, but everytime I download it, and I have tried all the links provided, I get this error message:

! C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\Avlis\universalhak_4_3.rar: CRC failed in universalhak_4_3.hak. The file is corrupt

Am I doing some wrong? Or am I not getting the right file?

I have found, downloaded and installed everything else just fine.

I've just redownloaded and extracted the file from the european mirror (here) and that worked just fine for me.

Right I found the "copaptlk_3_4.tlk" file and put it in the tlk folder but it still does not work. could the fact that it shows as an internet explorer file be the problem? if it is how do i put it right?

Also the file is a "RAR" file and only 102kb. this cant be right. Someone help me please
