Arrow of the vampire

Post by pedsdmd » Fri Oct 29, 2004 6:57 pm

The description says +2 regeneration...Is that a good thing or bad thing for Vampires/undead.

It sounds like it helps undead, can someone please calarify for me?

Thank you

+2 vampiric reneration means if you will heal one hitpoint for every one point of damage dealt, up to a maximum of two. (per arrow shot)
Playing as: Sir Douglas Hope of Gorethar, old school paladin | Krator Blackfist, gold mage | Warren, half nymph barbarian

well you have a chance of regenerating up to 2 points of health that you dish out. It's not guaranteed on every hit.

It is supposed to be garanteed on every hit that does damage (damage done up to 2). For some reason you only get your HP every so often.

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

One instance at least in which you won't gain HP's is when you're at full health.

There is another problem with another weapon. The Scimatar or Furry, spelling and if that's what it's called, has a +1 vamp. regeneration and you only get the HP maybe once or twice/turn when you hit them maybe 4 or 5 times

I'm not sure as I'm not a scriptor, but I think that's because the script only fires once a round for a character.

I think what the person means is something I wonder as well. Does it have a reverse effect on undead.

It heals you when you damage an enemy. as said above though it does not work all the time...Never works on the second shot of a flurry if the first hits for example.

Those Vampire Regen arrows work on undead just like the living things you fight. They do not do extra damage or heal undead or transfer your HP's to the undead. The undead take the same damage from the arrows as living creatures. Your character gets healed 1-2 HP's, in what seems random, on hitting.
