Regarding Half-Nymphs...
Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but given that all Titanian nymphs are female, and use other races' men to reproduce, wouldn't that mean that all half-nymphs are half O'Ma nymph, since a Titanian half-nymph is just a nymph? Just want to make sure my thinking is correct.

Titanean Nymphs are created, if I remember D&D setup correctly. They don't actually reproduce.
And yes, any Half-Nymph PC is, by default, O'man nymph stock. Father or mother, one of them was a Nymph. The other parent is/was either Human, Elf or Half Elf, since if they were a Dryad, then it'd be debateable as to whether or not the kid's a Half-Dryad or a Half-Nymph, really.

From the world background posts, you can piece together that the most (not necessarily all) Titanian races on Avlis come in a single gender, and it is stated somewhere (damned if I can find the place right now) that they need humans, etc., to breed, but when they do, they always breed true Titanian fey.
O'Ma fey come in both genders for all races, and can also interbreed with other races to make half-fey.

Ah, funkeldeedunk! Now you tell me.So a certain male half-nymph bringing an ode to Titanea shouldn't be surprised if he gets a blue bolt from above.
Hmmm... But... my male half-nymph poet was... kidnapped by Titanians while strolling through the... erm... the Fairy Gardens... as a child.... and... er.... grew up... in her fold... and... well...
Funkeldeedunk!
Can I get some help here please now that you've decided to use the "history" of Avlis that I should have "read" before I came up with my "poem" and subsequent "justification" for it?

If by IC you mean a bolt lightning up the old wazoo and perma-death, then hells yeah! But if you mean being rewarded for my creative outside-the-box thinking with heaps and heaps of uber loot and XP cookies, then absolument pas! Tortured souls like me suffer for their art!Wyrmwing wrote:But wouldn't it be fun to deal with that IC?
But a little bit of mildly uber loot and a level or ten would be nice.

Heh, there's nothing wrong with a half-nymph worshipping Titania. I mean, I'm sure there are some half-nymphs who become disgusted with their O'Ma roots, and worship Titania in order to rebel.modigliani wrote:If by IC you mean a bolt lightning up the old wazoo and perma-death, then hells yeah! Heh. Yeah, fairies are a bit confusing.
Titanian fey are pretty much all single-sex. They are usually all-male or all-female - very very few Titanian races have both sexes.
Titanian fey don't make half-breeds - if they were to breed with mortals, they'd have pure fey children. However, Titania only accepts worshippers with fey blood. Thus PCs really shouldn't ever be allowed to worship Titania, but we wanted them to be able to, so when I coded the religious conversions, I set it up so Titania would allow half-nymphs and half-dryads (the only PC races with fey blood). Yeah, they're technically half O'Ma fairy and are abominations in Titania's eyes, but the alternative was never allowing any PCs to worship Titania, which would suck. Eh, close enough.
Then there's Seelie vs. Unseelie, which just gets yet more confusing. I'm not going to explain that one though, because having some confusion there serves my nefarious purposes for now.
