heavy flail for confounders

Still haven't seen this answered anywhere. Heavy flail can't be used by halflings or other small folks, so are they specifically precluded by being confounders?

if you can take the feat, you should be able to take the class. I thought you were saying you were precluded from the feat

No, took the martial weapons feat (first step towards - can't take the focus without it as I don't have a warrior subclass).

But I suppose I could now see if I could take the heavy flail focus even though I'm not physically allowed to carry one, but that seems a bit silly now, doesn't it?

Yes, I don't have too much trouble with it, but explain to me how IC I would learn how to use a flail I can't pick up? Well enough to have FOCUS in it?

I don't think the engine allows small characters to focus in large weapons.

Though, technically, a medium-sized flail to a halfling or gnome would basically function as a heavy flail, since it would require two hands to wield.

I can't honestly believe that Forian of all gods would really only want his Confounders to be size medium and bigger.

Could the Team add the medium flail as an alternative requirement for small counfounders?
Some ways to do that:
- Change the 2da from FEAT to FEATOR and add anothe FEATOR for the medium flail.
- Eliminate the need of weapon focus from the 2da, but add a script to check if the character has an aceptable weapon focus, before he has his PrC variable set.
- Change the requirement to Medium flail.
And you could make the same thing for the other PrC that requires large weapons.

Forian works in mysterious ways.

Remember that Forian created the changelings and is CN - he really may not give a rat's arse about whether or not small creatures can become Confounders. Most Confounders are changelings, which of course can assume a variety of sizes.

So the answer to your question is: 47.
