Proper names for followers of the Big 9

Post by modigliani » Fri Jul 23, 2004 2:59 pm

Can somebody post the proper way to address followers of the Big 9? I called somebody a Dagathian today and was corrected--it is Dagathite. The others I'm fairly sure of are Valokian and Malekite. But what about Gorethar's followers? Dru'El's? The rest?

Thanks

They are called Dru'elers I am sure! They may not like that, it may not be their prefered name, but that is what they are called.

For Gorethar it is Gorethugs. That really is what folks call them.

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

Proper forms of address don't exist for all faiths.

Some forms of address I've heard for worshippers include Dagathite, Valokian, Malekite, Titanian, Forianite, and Toranite - though I can't assert that these are "proper" forms.

O'Ma and Dru'El often use the unmodified base word as an adjective - as in O'Ma fairy. I don't recall hearing any common form of address for these faiths though - and in the case of Dru'El, if one existed, I'd know. ;)

Dagath isn't one of the Greater Gods, by the way.

While we're on the topic...

T'Nanshi is a country. Nanshi warriors are the troops of T'Nanshi (NOT T'Nanshi warriors). T'Nanshi also means "of or from T'Nanshi" - as in "the T'Nanshi army".

M'Chek -> M'Chekian.

Deglos -> Deglosian.

Ferrell -> Ferrell (just like T'Nanshi, the word is used as a noun and an adjective).

Gorethug is absolutely right. I always have and always will call them such.

*to Melakin* Shitheads is good, and Neanderfucks is better. But I think we'll call ourselves Melakites while we carve our initials into you. Will "CK wuz hear" glow on your ghost elf butt? :twisted:

Quite simple.

We have The Faithful = followers of Dru'El

then we have Pathetic Losers = the rest. :lol:

Aarilax - Faithful or Follower of Aarilax

Angadar - Angadarian

Dagath - Dagathite

Dru'el - Faithful or Follower of Dru'el (aka wordy bitches)

Gorethar - Goretharite

Forian - Psychopath (I'm not kidding)

Maleki - Malekite

Mikon - Mikonite (Not to be confused with Mikonan, which is someone from Mikona)

O'Ma - O'Man (pronounced O'Men according to ceardan) or Follower of O'Ma

Senath - Senathite (or Genius, if you prefer :P )

Skern - Skernian

Toran - Toranite

Valok - Valokian

A lot of this is just standard grammatical logic, the rest is either official team names or what is generally used, as I've seen. Hope it helps.
<Sili> I've seen septic tanks with less shit in them than Fuzz.

<Chasmania> there are many roads to Rome..they just picked a shit filled alley full of scabby hookers and bums.

I always prefered Goretharian myself but whatever tickles your fancy.

I also usually go with kite. Malokite, Valokite, every other kite. 'cos you know, them kites are always flying around getting tangled in trees and stuff.
Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
