Comprehensive Elven Vocab list?

Post by Semley » Wed Jul 14, 2004 2:54 pm

Is the topic "Notes on Elven languages" the complete list of all Elven vocab? (viewtopic.php?t=9057)

If not, where is it?

Was looking for more nouns, like copper, silver, gold, eye, berry, etc, etc...I'll have to name my companion soonish and wanted a good elvish name.

Eni li doober nanshilae, eval eni retzelath moderas!

Come on Aloro, you freak, I know you have it in you!

Heh, blaming Aloro does no good (but might get you smited  )

The list you refer to is the only list that Orleron has written up, and he is the only one who decides what is or is not Avlissian elvish. Historically, he's usually a bit busy for working on the elvish language, but he sometimes expands the list for requests for specific words posted in this set of threads. (and sometimes he doesn't)

Orleron is the developer of Nanshilae. I harass him periodically with long lists of new words I'd like to use. Speaking of which, it's been over a month, I oughtta do it again. :P

I actually DO have a more complete list, which I put together from the many disparate threads on Nanshilae. Eventually, I intend to put together a primer on Nanshilae.

Tell me that list does not have the word "Tower" in it...

If you were to visit Elysia and you found a certain little Brownie there - she might let you have some Books on the Elvish Language. Of course, these ancient tomes are hugely expensive.
Life is never as bad as you think it is, although that doesn't help at the time.

All those books are also sold in the Marketplace in Le'Or. However, they are quite out-of-date and incomplete. :)
