you can't. That furniture is fixed to the ground. The only possibility to remove it is via a special hakpack that provides empty floors. There is such a thing out there, but it's not part of Avlis - yet.

No idea if and when it would be.

I find the fixed furniture is a real pain.

You can use Eraser to change from one fixed tile to another, but most of them have something in them. The only thing you can do is to choose the one with the least furniture and then add an invisible object to some of the chairs with the sitdown script, so they become usable.

The thing that puzzles me is that some areas in Avlis seem to have open spaces in them, but I don't know how that was done.

For example, the main area in Bill Burnham's Event Hall and the new Auction Room in Coventry Fair.

Could someone please tell me how they were achieved? :?

Well there are several hakpaks around which provide all the interior tilesets without the static furniture... maybe thats what you have benn told about. But since these haks are not used on Avlis you have to deal with the annoying statics...

But being this is a Mahagony Shortbow, the most powerful craftable bow on Avlis, and would blow your head clean off, you got to ask yourself one question... Do I feel lucky. Well, do ya fiend?"

If possible try placing doors and stairways in different positions from your room.
A doorway is the best way to create an empty floor I've found.

and more questions; the house I design is for on avlis, but if i want to have persistent chests and doors and such, do i need to make the keys too, or is a dm going to look at it and make the keys...

and another thing, i wish to have an apperatus there, is it allowed for private use to have one in your house? and when i give a dm the module of my house, can he add the crafting scripts without extra costs?

You make them.

Yes you can, and yes the staff member who puts the house in will add the crafting scripts.

you use the tools under Terrain instead of Groups or Tiles. it also depends on the particular tileset being used. Auction Hall is Castle Interior using the Stone Terrain tile. the rest is a secret..
