New to Avlis

Hello, Im new to NWN and while checking the main site I saw information about Avlis. Can anyone give me some info on it? Is it a persistent world like an MMO?

This is Avlis.

It's a Persistent World for NWN of six servers by now, all linked together so it's pretty big. It has also been up and running for quite a long time now (2 years), and even before that Avlis was run as a Pen and Paper DND world, so summarising what it's about is a bit difficult as you can imagine.

Our main aim is to provide a rich and engrossing world for people to roleplay in. Beyond that I can only advise you to read some choice bits of this website and these forums, in particular the main website and the general information forums about the background and the rules forum for our house rules. It's all here, but it's too much to summarise.

Avlis cannot be accurately described. It must be experienced. Role play is key here, and as a result, the world and its social structure are as diverse, unpredictable, and volatile as the real world. Avlis can be the greatest gaming experience you've ever had, so long as you commit yourself to its princapals.

No one can be told what The Avlis is, they have to see it for themseleves.
