Automatic logs of dialogue in nwn:

Post by AMbIeNcE » Wed Jun 02, 2004 11:43 pm

Can someone explain to me how to activate nwn's auto log feature? The one that allows you to copy all heard text by your character from a particular session from log file into word, similar programs, etc. It would save alot of time for me to be able to do that. I heard though that it automatically rotates and clears the log file once you start up nwn again. Anyone familiar with what I'm talking about?

I'm not familiar with that feature of NWN. However, I use Parselog all the time: portal.php?getpage=scripts

As a follower of Vorin it is my duty to help...

Open your nwnplayer.ini file located int he root directory of your nwn install

in the section labelled [GAME OPTIONS]
add the line ClientChatLogging=1

et voila.

enjoy

One comment to add...it will be overwritten each time you start the game, so either use parselog.lua .. a little program that makes a nice html file of the log - or move it out of the directory, else it will be oversritten next time you log in...
