those clerics just try to tempt crafters...big chests of ore. Just waiting for some guy to come along, see the ore, and make a go for it. Sadistic clerics of Fegall...

no but seriously I agree with you Mooge. A simple conversation would be enough to say that nobody is supposed to take the ore. They certainly dont make it very clear

Mooge & everybody else,

I think it's fair to say that new players will die a few times learning "the ropes." Don't get to overwrought about it, my character has gotten his ass handed to him many times for silly reasons...but believe me, I learned my lesson.

I like the fact that everything doesn't have a warning sign. We could have a big billboard outside of Deglos that says "Welcome to Deglos. Don't Wander Around." But that would just take the fun out of it.

It's another great reason to talk to other players. You'll learn a lot.

Just my $.02

Don't let responses from players get you down about what you ask. It's only when you get funny responses fro the Team that you should worry. Other then that it's usually wise to bring some things up. For all you know you made one of the builders take notice and decide to put some sort of notice on/around the chest, and you'll have saved future new players some headaches.

Enjoy the game! :D

"Indeed". Even though I hoped that people would realise the situation "naturally"... Fact is, there are many who just go straight to chests and get attacked, so I agree that it would be good to have something that tells you that it's out of limits.

And don't mind me, even I "suffer" from this situation, because as Member of this guild, as well as member of Dwarf Brigade, it is sort of my oblication IC to keep order there and prevent thefts and sometimes this leads to uncomfortable situations, where other person doesn't even realise that he's done something wrong as he thought it would be ok to take the ore. :)

PS. Feedback is always good, it makes the world better for us. :)

Yeah I know. The initial response was one I really didn't expect. I wouldn't have thought suggesting a mere sign in one particular temple would lead to a two page debate  . Anyway, I know the score (as I did from the start) and it was really only a minor interruption for me. I just thought it might be an idea to save others some grief.

your suggestions are good, so keep them coming..

Heh, the car example is good, but here's another one... In 'the real world' do you really think you can walk up to a farm and take the entire crop while the farmer stands right there and does nothing?

On Avlis you can... so assuming that you can pick up a rock without miners flipping out isn't much of a 'reach' at all.

Course, I'd be all for changing it the other way so farmer Bob and his dog would go chasing after apple thieves in their orchard. :)
