Some technical personel PLEASE HELP!

I'm in a very bad situation.

Today I tried to log on and there was some problems with Gamespy so I thought creating a new account would solve the problem. Well it didn't of course. This, although, is not the problem but only the thing that has caused my BIG problem:

By making a new account I erased my old account name and the password. Well....the account and the password are about 3 years old so I truly don't remember the password anymore. Okay...I went to gamespyarcade/support/password...and requested that my pass would be sent to me. Things got even more complicated when I realized that THE EMAIL I had used to make the 3 years old account(with all of my Avlis characters including Sugriado Rusten ), is not working anymore because I have changed the operator...

So it seems that there is no way for me to recover this password anymore, or is there?

But then again would someone of the Avlis technical personel be able to pick only Sugriado Rusten frrom the Avlis server folder and move it to a new folder.....my new Gamespy account name which is Dragana-RP . If I have understood it correctly, the Avlis persistent server recognises players by their gamespy name, right?...So I would only need to either get myself online somehow with my old gamespy name or then someone of the Avlis crue would have to change the location of one of my characters into another folder. I would so much like to continue playing with Sugriado and it is truly a pitty if all the "work" that I've done with Sugriado is lost.


So once more succinctly put: Please can someone technically proficient help me to recover my favorite character "Sugriado Rusten" from my old Gamespy account "dragonwings82" and move her to my new account "Dragana-RP". I would be so very gratefull and I presume that it would be a pitty for many other players too if Sugriado were not to be seen anymore on Avlis, right?


If you don't know an answer to this, could you at leat pm me someone's name who would be technically engaged to Avlis and who could possibly do such a "move"....to my dear character Sugriado rusten.

rofl... I feel sorry for you Dragana. That's a real shame, Sugriado was an amusing char. I hope Orl takes pity on you...

Did you ever once do a backup of your harddrive with NWN installed? If you did, all you have to do is locate the old file called "nwnplayer.ini" in the directory C:\neverwinter\NWN\ because that file stores your userID and password (when you had the box checked to remember your password).

good luck. hope you made a backup copy of those files at least once.

or you could just create a new Char and then ask the DM (if they are willing...) to level you back up to where you were. If everything looks the same then at least you can have the char. No items though.
