I would like to address the idea of moving class based feats with the simple following diagram:

On the left we have Bioware's hard coded classes. On the right we have the idea of moving a class based feat. I'll let the diagram speak for itself.
...
This is being discussed. Nothing relevent has been added to this particular thread in a long while. The camps are clearly drawn and nothing more will be accomplished here. Please do not sacrifice any more pixels. The poor little buggers deserve a day off from this thread.

And took about 1 minute doing so?
Aren't we talking about a character which had enough experience to jump to lvl 27/28 straight away after HotU came out?
Don't you think saying "already 3 levels
since they became SD" is a bit moot in that context?

And so the enormous bulk of the thread heaves its weight onto page ten, already rotten to the core, yet still with a rabid light in it's one remaining eye. A filthy green mist belches from it's gangrenous lips, accompanied by the plea: 'Let meeee die!'

Hmm the player they are talking about only had 1 lvl (or at the most 2 lvls) in SD when hou came out the other lvls have been taken since then.

I don?t think there is only one character out there that has 3 level in SD I have 3 already and intend to one day have 17 levels.. (Thinks to himself ... good luck with that you'll be here years

).
The only thing that concerns me is TS, but from what I have heard I assume that they removed the detection of hidden creatures (correct me if I am wrong) and continual light if it really does make people un-hide-able in the area of such spells?
I dont want to spend that much time on my character only to find out that 17 levels are useless around mages, clerics and/or around any item that glows. So tell me now?.

Keep Hide in Plain Sight at lvl 1. Its a prestige class, there should be some prestige to it. If its a lvl 5-10 ability, the first 4 levels will just make you a thief but shittier. We arent going to balance avlis completely, prestige classes will never be the same as normal classes, holy warriors will never be as common as common warriors, just accept how it is. Its fine, if it was too unbalancing you can quit playing. Saying taking shadowdancer for HiPS is wrong, is like saying taking knockdown so you can knock people down is wrong. Its there so you can have it. And BTW, Harm is way broken. Go Wrath!

So you're saying its alright to take one level of paladin for the additional saves?
Gilkin> ouch. how often do you roll a 20?
Cath> once every 20 rolls?

The problem is, theres no way to tell if people took someone for RP reasons, or purely to make their PC better at CvC combat. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and say they took it for RP reasons. You can do whatever you want, but skeptics will remain.

I have to agree with TD. Taking 1 level of Sd is as cheesy as some one taking 1 lvl in paladin. The hard part is though is knowing which people are just planning to take the one lvl, and which people are planning to take more, but have not levelled up yet.
I like the quote from White-raven
A few people have online asked me when they logg on why i have more then one level Shadowdancer, that isnt neccessary etc etc. I hate such, and they classes taken is because it fits what the char does, and not to be the strongest in CvC.
