Its up there with harm for CvC purposes, and really is rather broken. It is too bad it doesn't actually push you away as it should, but knocks you down irresistably (essentially). I'd rather it immobilize or actually push you back, if possible.

I think this is a lot of fuss over a spell that never hurts anyone. The fact that the vast majority of the complaint is all in terms of PvP instead of actual group vs NPCs causes me to disregaurd the concerns.
It is not like the hand spells are letting casters solo the entirety of LRC or something.
Forceful and grasping are nothing more then a lvl 2 spell made lvl 7, those +4 and +5 spell lvls only make them work a lot more consistantly. Hold person is equaly useful in the cases that it works.

The above is only mostly true:WrathOG777 wrote:I think this is a lot of fuss over a spell that never hurts anyone. The fact that the vast majority of the complaint is all in terms of PvP instead of actual group vs NPCs causes me to disregaurd the concerns.

1. Never hurts anyone: only true that it never DIRECTLY hurts anyone. It only renders it so its real easy to follow things up with something else that does.
2. as for a level 2 made into a level 7: Its taking a spell that would work less than 50% of the time and turning it into a spell that works 90%+ of the time. A more fair comparison is with other level 7 spells, while I think that most of them will work better than 50% of the time, at least for any decent mage, I doubt they would work universally 90+% of the time.

Yeah, but finger of death finishes the job. Geting held 90% of the time is a lot different then dieing 90% of the time. Finger of death also always does damage, where or not the same is made.Vergilius wrote:The above is only mostly true:WrathOG777 wrote:I think this is a lot of fuss over a spell that never hurts anyone. For 6th lvl spells, I am sure many have seen how devastateing chain lightning is. I really donot think bigbys hand can do to a group what chain lighting can.
