The Iron Skeleton Heavy Armor - colors

Post by Kaestryl Blackarrow » Sat Feb 21, 2004 6:37 am

I've looked around on the BW boards and on the net and can't find how to do this: How do I set the color of armor to a custom color, the way that the Iron Skeleton armor is set to pure black. Is it an item variable or what?

Any suggestions?

In the toolset, to get some of the weird colors like pure white and pure black, what you do is this:

On the color chooser, click and hold the mouse on one of the colors on the bottom row. Then, while the mouse button is still pressed, drag the mouse down into the area below the color.

There is a "secret" row of colors beneath the last row in the color chooser, with weird colors like pure black, pure white, solid shiny metal, and a few other strange ones. I think pure black is the last on the right, and pure white is the one right before that.
There is no escape.

I love you anticybr. I was wondering how you could do that.

Alternatively, you can use the 'Novice to epic character creator' module - it allows you to try out all possible colour combinations from a menu - including the 'hidden stuff' - just take your char into it (or get the item you need from inside the mod itself) and go over to the customising area. It's CEP compliant, and it allows you to try out all the different appearances for any armour etc too. It's available on NWNVault (no, I'm not getting paid for this plug :P ). Damn handy mod - it also lets you train up, or down, any char and try them out in a monster arena with any gear you like.
