Yep! It was kinda funny because only one or two days before, Bioware was berating everyone for buggin them about the release date, saying it will come out when it's done. Then they turn around and release it. Cute move.

That's an extremely common situation among the grade-A developers. Spitting out bad release dates causes nothing but trouble, and setting them early can bring about the disastrous mistake of rushing the game. So they make a point of absolutely not giving a release date until they are about ready to start printing. Even if it's only a few days-- after all, what if a QA guy spots a hard-drive reformat bug or some other catastrophic error?
