New class from HOTU

Post by Xeo » Tue Dec 23, 2003 7:22 pm

If i make a character now and when HOTU is on two questions

1- you need to have certain things before ya can take that class ie. Palemaster.... So if i started on building and RP him out.. when HOTU is on will that option be available when he lvls? *required lvl 3 wizard or sorc)

2- Is there going to be the new classes on avlis? i heard in the wind not been decided..... and if so i make him now can i take the new class of palemaster later in the months or years?

Ta i hope these are not dumb ass questions

P.S server upgrade to 1.61 ya need HOTU to play now after thats done? or can ya update then put HOTU say after christmas when ya girlfriend gives ya the prezzie!?

Only after you complete the quest that enables that PrC on Avlis. We disable them all, then you can do a quest that enables the PrC for that PC.
2- Is there going to be the new classes on avlis? i heard in the wind not been decided...
There will be some, but not all. I know for example the Champion of Torm won't be allowed on Avlis. That doesn't mean you can't in theory go else where and get it. But you'll never be able to level up as one on avlis.

Now Palemaster helps ya out as nercos is a hard path

So is Palemaster going to be on and how can i obtain this?

i would like then to do this PrC........ and how would i go about this

Any help would be great and i am willing

Also why would i want to leave Avlis!? lol

Just for a class no way Kanga rocks! (i hope)

PATIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the prestige classes are disabled now. when a quest gets implemented to allow you to take that class, there will be some kind of announcement.

but, considering that we haven't quite finished the quests for the SoU prestige classes, it's going to be some time...

No, right now you only need to update to the 1.61 patch to play on Avlis. We will be changing to HotU sometime in January, and you will then need HotU to play on Avlis.

You have time to open your present, no worries. ;)

If I understand Palemaster correctly (and I probably don't) I would suggest waiting until you can cast lvl 9 spells before taking Palemaster lvls. Not only will this give you something to do while you wait for the quest to be written/implemented, but you won't lose any benefits of the wizard class.

Well, first step is to start the little evil necromancer. Then join the ebony order. Then talk a lot with the other necromancers about becomeing undead. Then the natural progression will lead you (and the other enternal life seekers) to where you wanted to go. Or maybe you will become a lich instead. Never know for sure.

Prestige classes are something you can only take after X levels... Depending on the class you start with and the prestige class in question.

So yes start a necro now, play him/her and at some point down the road you can take levels in palemaster.

It's actually a small piece of candy. Kinda like a SweetTart. They come in little boxes with prizes.

On a completely unrelated note, who here played Shadowrun? Remember all the ads for Nerps in the sourcebooks? Did anyone ever figure out what the hell those things were?

NERPS= net enhancements for roleplaying shadowrun, iirc.

I used to play lots of Shadowrun and vaguely remember Nerps... I still have the books in the loft somewhere....

Ah, happy days of DMing encounters with CyberKnights in London. Great Sourcebook that was.

When I actually wrote the comment I had witty and light hearted jape to respond with to remove the tension just in case you should actually say that.

Unfortunately I have forgotten the said quip, so I can't use it. Baws.

I'll just have to point out that although I am not dyslexic, my hands seem to be.

An analysis of my typing has lead me to the conclusion that my right hand does not work fast enough. About 90% of my spelling errors come in a situation where my left hand has typed a letter too fast for the right hand to get its letter in there first.

So, the becomes teh. Could becomes Coudl. That becomes Taht.

Well, I can't think of anymore right now, but you get the drift.

Being dyslexic or not speaking English as a first language is not stupid.
