A noobie type question about death corpses...
I've searched high and low, and can't seem to find this anywhere.
When you pick up your corpse, the description says to use it. On what? When I use it on myself, the corpse just gets dropped. What?s supposed to happen when you use it?

A good friend will bail you out of jail, but a true friend will be in jail with you, saying, "Damn, we fucked up!"

The corpse is just a container we have scripted to hold your non-plot items on death.
Once you click on your OWN corpse (after dying and finding it again) you will slowly be given all of your items back. Allow it a moment or two, as it is scripted to return them slowly, so as not to cause a crash on the server.
When the corpse is empty, or you find someone else's, you can actually pick it up and carry it.
There are a few reasons you may want to do this. Some involve being very nasty to the owner if they come looking for it, other's involve you doing them a favour perhaps by returning your friends corpse close by a temple for him to grab.
NEVER trade a corpse in the barter screen by the way, it will crash the server, this is just a Bioware NWN thing.
Always drop it on the ground if you need to. Keep in mind it weighs a fair amount, and most likely will encumber all but the strongest characters.
In general, you wont have need to USE a corpse. This would be just some left over remnant of an earlier scripty/use of the item, so dont worry about it. Its simply a container.

Thanks for the info.

Quite a few clerics in other places will do this now as well.Orleron wrote:Actually, if you drop the corpse in front of some NPC clerics, particularly in Mikona, and talk to the cleric, it will attempt to raise the player for you.

Pick the items up first, then grab the corpse.WrathOG777 wrote:See, the issue I have is that when I pick up a corpse, then put it down, it does not seem to still have all the belongings on it. I sort of figured this was how you would move bodys.
Remember what is actually happening here, in RP terms. Of course the items are not actually ~INSDIE~ the corpse, are they. They are scattered about the corpse (on his belt, in his jacket, in his bags, etc).
