Dreaming of this game

Heya!

So last night I dreamt I was at a mall waiting in line for something with my sister, and there was someone else behind us in line, and then behind them there was my mother, so I told the person behind us to go ahead so we could stand with our mom, and they did.

But then Mall Security showed up, and it was Silver Fox, and she wanted to know why the person had cut the line, and I explained, and she said "Okay, but we also have a report that you used Dominate on someone."

And now I was Lexy, and I denied that I had used Dominate, and I thought: "I don't even HAVE Dominate, but I'm damned if I'm going to let Silver Fox know what I can and can't do", and the dream ended.

(I also dreamed last night that I was in a movie theater that was showing Titanic, and there was technical trouble and they stopped the film and announced we had to leave, and I said: "Wait, we won't get to see the ending? Does the boat sink, or not?")

Hahah. Nice one. I've dreamed about Avlis more than once myself. Though always "IG", like I'm actually a PC (and not even always the ones I play myself!) in our fantasy world.

I've had Avlis dreams all the time, even in the years I wasn't involved or looking at it at all. Mine tend to go very anachronistic and start to blend RL elements, so 'mall cop' would absolutely fit.

I dreamt that Shaahesk were about to invade and take over the city, and I and someone else were going to the airport/train station to get out of town, and there was a huge crowd all trying to leave; it had a real "fall of Saigon" feel to it, and we realized we wouldn't be able to get away if we stayed there, so we decided to try the bus station to see if it was less crowded, but suddenly there was panic all around us; the Shaahesk had arrived; it was too late to get out, and we'd been so close!

So everybody ran to hide, or get away, and I lost my companion in the confusion. First I ran toward one exit, but there were Shaahesk there, so then I ran deeper into the complex and hid because all the exits were blocked. Then I managed to avoid the Shaahesk for a few days, moving from hiding place to hiding place, and somehow also reporting in the situation for the wider world through social media. I was sort of myself, and sort of Alexis.

I dreamt that I (as Lexy) was in a Mexican restaurant with Sinn, Dani, and Timber. We were sort of our characters and sort of not. I say Sinn rather than Cel because he was more like Ash. Sinn and I were bonding over a Steely Dan song that was playing; we both loved the song; I don't think it was any actual song by Steely Dan but something I made up in the dream, though. We were both singing along and knew the words, and the song wasn't from the Aja album. To amuse Lexy, Sinn made a fan out of nachos, and I wanted to take a screenshot of him posing with it, but I didn't know how, and Dani asked for the really really hot sauce, and we all laughed and said that was so like her. I don't actually know any of these people in RL, so all of this is probably wildly inaccurate as to what they like. Dreams are weird.

too damn funny.. my dreams about game mixes it up with work and suddenly I am worrying about how can I, who knows nothing about crafting, get somebody to OOCly make me shit so we can put up another glass tower.... but not in SF or LA.. but in Elysia

I don't actually know any of these people in RL, so all of this is probably wildly inaccurate as to what they like. Dreams are weird.

I quite like Mexican and Steely Dan (I have Aja in a box somewhere). Dani (the character) is very much a the spicier the better where her player only manages enough to make a dish interesting. I certainly don't look like her or dress as well

I've read a theory once that dreams are simulations that allow us to practice certain situations so that if and when we're presented with something similar we're prepared to deal with it.

So once again I was sort of myself and sort of Lexy, in the way of dreams. This one was long and involved, but basically I was at a venue in the American Southwest, like a hotel complex, and there was an event planned IG having to do with books. Rali had written a wonderful book, and I had written a journal of my time visiting the area and Rali wanted to read it, but I had ripped out all but the latest entry to store elsewhere so I gave her what I had with me to read and she loved it.

Then it was time to go to the event, and I went by bus, but it was only like half a block away and the bus driver was like: "Why even hire me?" There were a lot of books piled in the aisle of the bus and under the seats, and Thienna had instructed me which ones to bring; I was to bring 3 of them, and they had names which I forget, not book titles but more like artifact names, and they looked old and impressive, with ornate bindings.

But I gradually came to understand that there was some OOC controversy regarding what was going on with the books; some players were not attending the event because it might be against the rules of the game, but I didn't know how, and I was worried about it, and then a cat woke me up.

This is hilarious, Rudiki. I got on here because I just dreamt of you too...

Only we were at Elf Gate and I was playing Timber and she told Alexis, in front of a bunch of their friends, that he needed HOURS AND HOURS of therapy! He seemed to pleasantly agree but then you logged him out suddenly and I got OOCly very nervous that you would be upset and I kept trying to call you, and text you, and hail you on Discord but couldn't get through. In my heart I knew you'd forgive me but I didn't want your feelings to be hurt! Woke up and was SO RELIEVED it was a dream!

I dreamt I was in a play IG as Alexis, and I didn't know the lines because I hadn't had any time to rehearse, but I had the script and was doing my best. It was a play by a famous 16th century playwrite. I was not the lead, and while I was waiting to go on and madly trying to memorize my lines I could hear the lead actor singing a song, and I knew from that when to come on, after the song. I did feel very unprepared; none of the other actors was holding a script.

Near the beginning someone said a line about somebody that wasn't clear, and people whispered to me that they were worried that nobody in the audience would know who that somebody was and why he mattered, so I ad-libbed a bit where I said something like: “Oh, yes, her cousin George (or whoever) isn't going to like that, because (whatever)”, to make sure the audience could follow.

Then the next scene was supposed to be in a big cadillac car, and it was a real car so we had to go out of the building and get into the car, and I wondered how the audience was going to see and hear this scene, but I hurried over to get in the car, and Thienna was in the car and said apologetically that no, I couldn't get in the car, but others confirmed that yes, Alexis was in this scene, and Druid as Scel said something like: “Remember, he has that line where he complains about Lily's in-laws; he does that throughout the play; it's a running joke”, and Thienna said: “Oh, right!” So I got in the car, but then I woke up.

I just had a triple inception dream about Avlis.

I was eating breakfast and realized, that I was 1.5 hours late for a DM event. I rushed down stairs to log in, but then woke up in a groggy state in bed. You know that half awake state.

I look at the clock and realize, I'm still 1.5 hours late and I rush downstairs and log in. But I'm already logged in, but with the wrong character, Aramil, and on the wrong server. I'm in large party and we're ahead out over a large map the looks like a maze. I switch to Ken and head to Elysia which is empty.

I wake up again, this time just 10 minutes late. I rush down and log in and meet up with the group outside the Forest of Midnight. After a battle, we find a glowing green butt plug shaped obelisk sticking out of the ground.

Either Archibald or Chyri cast bigby's fist to pound it into the ground. A none to pleased rusty fairy confronts us and sends to go past the two god beast statues. This involves us going down two paths, that look like Minecraft metal fence parkour paths while in a RuneScape like isometric view and graphics.

Somehow we all turn into an skeletons and when we get to the end, we find out Archibald took half the group another direction, that was shorter and didn't turn everyone into skeletons.

I then woke up and realized it's Thursday, I still have a few days to go.
