Delayed Action Fun: When you're going back through a log to make an IC report and you scroll past all the combat stuff and suddenly stop because among all the generic "Tortured Souls" we were fighting there was also "Clark The Mostly Tortured But Okay With It Probably Soul". Did a double-take, laughed out loud. Thanks!

Edit: Heh. Just came across this one as well: "Fred, The Really Tortured Soul Who Wrote About It In His Journal".

And again, his work on what we can do as DMs via the DMOM, and such things, scaling and whatnot.. is amazeballs.

Thank you very much for giving me a real big dramatic moment! That was so nice, and such a huge pay off for things I had been working towards. And thank you and Andria both very much for being flexible and helping me resettle things a bit IC.

I appreciate ya both and that was a wonderful time!

There is only so much adorable I can take in one day already... whew.

Excellent use of VFX, nice flow on the rituals with a bit of spicy combat tossed in for the marital bois gals and pals.

DRAGON MAP

Good stuff.

I really appreciate the effort to include people and make them feel like they can contribute something to a plot, even when they aren't able to make many in-game events due to timezones. It makes the world feel more real and less bound by OOC limitations

14/15 months-ish ago you kicked off a plot that you worked on for some months even before the start date. All told, you've got nearly two years invested in Seven's Epic World Plot.

It's been a privilege to be a small part of it in some way off and on for the entire process and seeing it all come together tonight ... I'm SO PROUD of you!!!

You've poured .. I really don't know how many hours now.. over the last two years into bringing this story and these NPCs to life.. and that's just on the DM side!!

You've ALSO written lore, built systems, upgraded tools, built SO MANY AREAS, Implemented An ENTIRE PRC!, as well as added so much to the how-we-tell-the stories to make the team's life easier to volunteer our time. (Plus! DRAGON MAP! haha!)

PLUS, PLUS!!

You've taken on other team-side roles which had nothing to do with your plot!

You're an amazing friend, storyteller, DM, team leader, and all-around fantastic gentleman.

You don't get thanked half as much as you deserve.

Thanks not only for everything you have done and continue to do for Avlis, but thanks for who you are as a person.

It's been an honor to get to know you over the last few years and I hope we're friends forever.

Love YA MAN!

Praise! I was mostly a spectator for the dragon plot but I did want to shout out a few things:

Running a year-long plot from start to end is no mean feat. And to juggle so many named NPCs with their own quirks and personalities into the bargain. It's impressive! Take a bow!

Throughout, there were a great variety of events and scenarios. From smashing monsters to planning feasts, negotiating with various NPCs, strategizing and executing a plan to deal with a plague, and even a heist arc, there were lots of different ways for characters to get involved. And they were good events too! Those combat encounters were nasty!

And on that point, it was clear you offered many opportunities for people to join in if they wanted, and I know you were very responsive to player ideas and character input!

Added to that, some of the most impressive event setup and visuals I think Avlis has ever seen. Getting things set up and looking Just So takes a lot of time and care, and it shows. I know a lot of these things are a team effort so to others who worked on this, pat yourselves on the back also.

Kudos!

I liked to tack on the fact there were quite a few real-life events on your side that seem from my perspective make it challenging to schedule events, so I must say great job at pulling off working around that and still finding time to get some Avlis fun included in your schedule.

I was appreciative that you popped on to do some DM'ing for at the time were just two players on one server initially to run through some of the plot of the demonic dragon scale events. I kind of wish I had gone along with your anger and revenge idea.

Anyway, thanks for including me a little in the plot, great job.

Piling on to all that's above.
This plot was epic, and you built some stunning visuals/moods through the whole course of it. I cannot rave enough the Nightmare scene, where the PCs were encouraged to talk through the history of the plot from their perspective. It was a great way to have the *players* summarize and relive what happened, all in this phantasmagorical setting.
Speaking as a DM, I am also raving you because of all the tools you've given us through CCC so that we can also tell our own stories! I cannot stress enough how HUGE of an impact you've had.
You're awesome!

In addition to the above, Caydo's names and descriptions of stuff are often very cool and/or funny; there's a great attention to detail there. (and speaking of that, in all the melee, I saw someone recommending we read the description of Riv'Ra'Nus, but I didn't get the chance to before he disappeared; any chance that could be posted here if it's still accessible?)

In any case, adding to the thanks and appreciation!

I too, through various PC's was mostly a spectator of this epic storyline. I found each and every event enjoyable be it a pure RP session or crump-fest. the storytelling was marvelous, and the conclusion was one of the best ever. Simply not enough praise available.
