Combat results
OK; so with combat results turned on and then getting into a large group fight; the results show everything and the combat window ends up doing a constant scrolling - most times too fast to be readable. Is it possible to turn off combat reports for everyone except for those things that relate to one's own character?

Re: Combat results
I don't know of a way to do this - perhaps some other team members might. Checking the interwebs, it looks like other PWs recommend logging everything and then using an external program to parse out your character's combat info.

Re: Combat results
Logging and then external parsing sounds like an after-the-fact thing. I was hoping for a way to do that as it is happening. Today again; I was in combat with the results scrolling to fast to read. It wasn't until after the combat was over and I had a chance to go back through the results was I able to see that the creatures we were fighting were immune to cold … not something a cryomancer really wants to find out after combat is over.

I am moving this thread to 'NWN General Discussion', since The Team really can't do anything for you regarding these NWN mechanics. Perhaps some of our players know of something that would be of benefit to you?

Re: Combat results
Whenever I need to check something from the combat log (or know that I'll need to), I just drag the upper limit of the right chat to the max so it doesn't scroll down as fast.

Re: Combat results
Yes this is possible to be scripted. Lots of work for minimal benefit imo, but the functions exist.K'Tomma wrote:Logging and then external parsing sounds like an after-the-fact thing. What I do is drag the combat bar long when in combat so i have more time to see it. Its really the only thing you can do....
other than scripting things to store your personal dmg as integers and then combine them in predetermined ways and display them to you as a floaty above your head, chat message, or multi coloured log message. If you have skills and an interest in this type of scripting please contact Tizmo and the CCC team and submit a volunteer application.

Re: Combat results
Okay; is there a way then to move the combat window to the edge of the screen? Right now the combat window appears just about in the middle of the screen and if I expand the window up it makes for a rather nice block to prevent me from seeing what is happening.

Re: Combat results
I don't know about moving it, but you can tell each window which type of chat you want to include/exclude by right-clicking on the top of each 'box'. I've swapped several 'types' of communications to different windows to try and use the screen to better advantage.

Yeah.. you can swap the combat and chat data between windows.. that might help you out?

Re: Combat results
you can go with a see through combat window, its a common mod on nwn vault i think.
Or what I did, which is a little more work is set my resolution to 1920x1080.
Disable the high resolution font
Use a program to create my own custom font and spacing and follow the intsructions to get it in
This puts the both bars from the split mostly on the left of the screen, doesnt interfere too much with my battle view, and I can still read it because i upped all the fontsize.
