Avlis Extention Haks - Everyone please read!

Esteemed Avlis Community,

While preparing for the season's holidays, please ensure that you have all 9 (nine) Extension Haks:

Download and extract the Avlis Extension Haks bundle to your NWN/hak folder.

This will only take a minute:

The Extension Haks are a client-side placeholder, each under 1 KB in size.

All 9 (nine) Extension Haks will be required to play on Avlis by Saturday, December 23rd, 2017.

I've updated the needed files page so it now has anchor links directly to each subsection under the main header.

You can now use http://wiki.avlis.org/Needed_files#ext_haks to point directly to those downloads, instead of the top of the page or the http://wiki.avlis.org/Needed_files#Indi ... tent_Files header (#copap_haks, #tlk, #avlis_haks, #ext_haks and #alt_dl all work now).

We just need the Avlis Ext haks numbered from 5 to 9 right ,as people should already have the avlis ext hak 1 to 4, I know I have the 1 to 4.

Are these updated haks by any chance?

As it would appear I already had all 9 of them prior to this posting. O.o
So I'm unsure if I should re download/install them.

Everyone will already have at least the avlis_ext_1.hak - avlis_ext_4.hak, since you couldn't log in without them. The other 5-9 haks were in the original set, but are only being fully implemented now (on or after Dec 23rd).

The Avlis Extension Haks on the Needed Files wiki page all contain the full set of 9, but the All-In-One download (avlis_allinone.rar) linked up top from the Avlis Neverwinter Vault page (and avlis_ext_hakset.zip there) may still need to be updated to include all 9. Many will already have the full set, since they only started repackaging just the 1st 4 with the newer version on the vault.

As the original post mentioned, these are empty haks (besides a text file saying they are empty), so nothing to update in them. They are used for server-side content, so they don't take up any extra space for players (clients).

This is one of those obvious things people remember right after they do it, but any Avlis staff shouldn't overwrite their copies if the 1-4 ext haks when extracting the rest to their hak folder.

A reminder bump, if you missed this notice the first time.

All 9 Avlis Extension Haks from the avlis_ext_hakset on the "Needed Files" wiki page will be required on/after the 23rd of this month (a few days from now).

There's nothing new in them for players, but they make life a lot easier on the server-side of things.

Right now these 4 HAKs are not in the 'Single File Download for all Custom Content'. For new (or returning) player it would be nice if the were added.

Never fear my friend... the avlis_allinone is now spiffy fresh.. and as a special deal so is the avlis_ext_hakset.

Hi, I just DL'd the "Single Archive file avlis_allinone_201803.7z" file, and placed those haks in my hak folder.

Do I still need to get the Extention Haks?
(or are they incorporated into the "all-in-one"?)

Correct. The Extension Haks file is just there for people that have the other haks already and just want to get the updated extension haks. The All-in-on has all of the haks, including the Ext haks.
